Helping Beginners Understand Cabal Classes – Twin Blade

Today, I bring you the final installment of this series: the Twin Blade.

The name Twin Blade suggests a class wielding two weapons, making it a rather unique profession. With potent burst damage and a clear focus on melee combat, it’s odd that Twin Blades are also considered an evasion-oriented class. This peculiarity, reminiscent of the vampire class among the Nightfall faction, shares traits of being melee-focused and highly agile. Unusual characteristics have paved the way for the distinct path of the Twin Blade.

Leveling: In terms of leveling, it’s similar to melee classes like Blader and Force Blader—high attack with a slow attack execution time, relying on high damage to defeat monsters. However, Twin Blades have their own unique feature: their skills have a higher critical rate and critical damage, comparable to Force Bladers (although Force Blader’s criticals come from auxiliary skills, while Twin Blades have them inherently). The downside is that, due to wearing silk armor, their early defense is relatively low. Unlucky situations might lead to being quickly overwhelmed by monsters. Some players opt for wearing Honor heavy armor for enhanced defense, but in the era of Excellent and Wind Spirit equipment, Honor seems to be gradually fading. Moreover, Twin Blades lack effective area-of-effect skills for crowd control, making it a challenging class for leveling. Rating: 3.5.

Field Boss (FB): Similar to leveling, the silk-wearing Twin Blade struggles with defense compared to heavy armor classes like Bladers and Force Shielders. Lacking the broad monster control skills of Force Bladers, they heavily rely on evading attacks. However, evasion is highly uncertain, making FB encounters tense. Even with Excellent and Wind Spirit gear, their defense remains inferior to other classes. Twin Blades rely on high attack and critical hit rates to swiftly eliminate monsters within a short timeframe, which poses risks. Hence, the FB rating for Twin Blades is also 3.5.

PvP: In PvP, Twin Blades shine despite the challenges faced in leveling and FB encounters. While Shielders may have high critical rates and damage, the difference in impact between a Shielder’s critical hit and a Twin Blade’s critical hit is substantial. Twin Blades thrive on their critical rates and damage. Priority should be given to critical gear to maximize their potential. Due to the longer cast and cooldown times of Twin Blade skills compared to other melee classes, players who prefer continuous attacks need to be cautious. Surrendering the second high-tier skill might be necessary as other classes can often cast their second high-tier skill faster. Currently, the one who casts the second high-tier skill first in PvP usually gains the upper hand, putting Twin Blades at a disadvantage. Many Twin Blades now employ a strategy involving one high-tier skill, small skills, followed by a second high-tier skill to finish. However, in theory, Twin Blades have higher evasion and accuracy compared to other melee classes. Once caught in a chain, they lose these advantages, emphasizing the importance of attack, defense, and skill speed. Despite the disadvantages, some Twin Blades adopt a mobile playstyle, using skills like level 9 high-tier, Twin Moon, Assault, and Bindings while running to create distance and leverage high critical damage. Evading continuously with skills like Blink, Dash, and even Rolling is crucial. Such Twin Blades can be challenging opponents. However, players adopting this strategy, regardless of class, fear encountering ranged classes with excellent chaining abilities, especially Force Archers. I once encountered a Force Archer who rarely got interrupted. Even if interrupted, they could quickly chain skills together, showcasing impressive reflexes and maneuvers. However, such skill levels are not common among mainstream players, so the mobile Twin Blade strategy remains effective in most cases. Rating: 5.

Group Battles: When it comes to group battles, Twin Blades give off a slightly tragic vibe. While they boast high attack and potent critical hits, lacking the defense of heavy armor and the support role of Force Bladers forces them to charge into the enemy’s formation alongside the Berserkers and Force Shielders. It’s a high-risk, high-reward approach, and there’s a possibility of being surrounded if the targeted enemy isn’t quickly eliminated. Twin Blades cannot charge straight into the front like Berserkers and Force Shielders; instead, they maneuver along the border between allies and enemies, seeking opportunities for a lethal strike. This is the essence of playing a Twin Blade—a stealthy assassin, a killer who instills fear in the hearts of enemies, one who never gives enemies a chance to retaliate. Rating: 4.

In conclusion, the Twin Blade class possesses high attack, high critical damage, high evasion, and high accuracy. This makes it more akin to an assassin than a warrior. Twin Blades will never charge into the midst of the enemy formation like Berserkers; instead, the pinnacle of Twin Blade mastery lies in having no blood on oneself, except for the enemy’s blood staining their blades.
